To feel guilty?

I've been signed off sick at 27 weeks pregnant due to SPD.

I feel terribly guilty as I was responsible for training up members of staff before I left and now I won't be able to do that.

AIBU? 😢

YANBU at all, it's normal to feel guilty but it's something so entirely out of your control that you'd BU to keep beating yourself up over it. Do as your Dr asks and rest up please.

Nope.

Same thing happened to me with my last one. I felt like you but you really do have to look after yourself first.SPD is no joke.

Can you take some time to do some gentle swimming, pregnancy yoga and see a physio whilst you’re off? Some osteopaths deal with SPD too and I’ve heard of good outcomes.

Thanks all, I just feel awful and as though I have really dropped them in it Sad

But spd is terrible and I didn't see any other way around it, it was getting to the point where I've been struggling to drive so I couldn't even commute to work.

Currently 36 weeks with SPD, had it since 17 weeks, I literally can’t walk more then a few steps unaided and use crutches to get about, I wish I’d taken it easier earlier on when it wasn’t this bad. Don’t feel guilty it can’t be helped, your work will manage, concentrate on you and baby :)
