To think boss is wrong to do this

My work manager has employed her daughter as the deputy manager after oking it with the committee. (Comittee run nursery) the old deputy manager was whistle blowed on by the current deputy manager and has been let go. Tbh it is a bit annoying that she automatically got the deputy manager position when there where other members of staff that are higher qualified and the position was not open to interviews she just got it out right. But my main issue is, my boss "works from home" on a Tuesday and therefore the deputy is in charge and is paid the managers wage. On her work from home day my boss also looks after her 1 year old grand daughter who belongs to the deputy manager. This enables her to work and not pay childcare and my boss to get paid to work from home and look after her grandchild. I don't think this is right of fair or am I just being unreasonable? I also have issues that the manager is completely in control of working out and distributing wages, including her own and her daughter's. This seems a bit odd to me.

It does seem very odd to me also but I have the feeling that this doesn't break any particular rules. Is your new deputy manager doing the job correctly?

To be honest the whole place is a shambles, nothing is down right and it's so annoying. I am leaving as soon as I have secured another job, I'm still looking in my area at the moment.

Manager and deputy manager spend most of the day chatting to each other in the corner, whether it's about work or not I don't know! We are often quite short staffed but they insist that they are too busy to help out with the children in the room at all! I get that there is a lot of paperwork in childcare but really? 2 of them 5 days a week at a computer? And then nothing is ever done when it should be?

Report anonymously to committee

Then OFSYED if they’re taking you out of ratios/

Early years practitioners are in short supply you won’t struggle to get another job

I'm worried as they are close to the commitee chair that it will not be dealt with correctly or anonymously
