DD 13 is obsessed with twenty one pilots. We are taking her and a friend to their concert in London next month and would love some ideas on what to do with them prior to the concert.

They want to go to Camden market, so that's one thing - they're both quite emo/alternative/rock so keen on old vinyl albums etc - maybe some stalls at Camden for that?

Also both into photography so wondered about booking an Apple walking photography tour?

Are there any exhibitions they might find interesting?

Just looking for inspiration really... Confused Thanks for any suggestions!

Are you going near London Bridge station? The Landscape photographer of the year exhibit will be there from 19th Feb till 10th March - small but it's free

V&A has a new amazing photography gallery.

HairyMaclary · 09/02/2019 11:16

There's a new photography exhibition just opened at Tate Britain of Don McCullin's work. It looks good. I was thinking of taking 13 year old DS.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 09/02/2019 11:16

Camden isn't what it used to be Grin but still good to wander around.

Do they want to take photos? City of London has lots of really old interesting buildings and weird old stuff. You could look at the sculptures in the city www.sculptureinthecity.org.uk/ while wandering around. Leadenhall market is pretty and was in harry potter.

Tate modern is always good the main hall is an amazing space.

Also recommend the british museum which is near warren street so not with the other ones, so not nearly so crowded. Really massive and full of interesting stuff. It' nice all round there for walking about as well. Lots of squares with green and trees.

There's a diane arbus exhibition at the hayward gallery which looks really good.

Photographer’s gallery, just behind oxford street

Pumpkintopf · 09/02/2019 11:18

These are fantastic suggestions I will look them all up - and they are not being met with the usual dismissive stares either so thank you!!

Oh my goodness she has actually said she wouldn't mind going to Leadenhall market to take some pictures-this is indeed high praise! Grin

Pumpkintopf · 09/02/2019 11:35

The photographers gallery looks interesting and I had no idea it was there, thank you.

Brick Lane is a good idea especially for the vinyl.

I'd love to go to the V&A...

Landscape photographer would be interesting too.

The Diane Arbus and Don McCullin exhibitions look really interesting too.

City of London would be good, she might get some different shots there.

There are a few graffiti walking tours which would provide good photo opportunities. Also the graffiti tunnel at Leake St. Bear Waterloo.

viktoria · 09/02/2019 11:48

If your DD is interested in Street art maybe she would like the graffiti tunnel at Leake Street

Lots of photo opportunities on the London Underground. Covent Garden has street performers.

MrsTommyBanks · 09/02/2019 12:24

Brick Lane is fantastic for photography. Lots of amazing street art. And I highly recommend the hot chocolate at
