I am looking at organising a party for my ds.
I am flabbergasted at some of the quotes I have been getting.
How much have you paid for a 2 hour party with entertainment?

In the midlands. Typical entertainer is £200. Next month my DD age 7 is having a magician £220ish plus hire of hall £60 plus food etc so prob £400.

DD age 4 had it at home and cost me £50 unfortunately the older one has a lot more friends!

Hire of hall £100. Hire of bouncy castle for 30x 5 year olds £120; balloons £20; food plus paper cups and plates £80 = £300

Town Hall, Clown, Morrison's food, party bags £600, just outside London (30 kids)

Never again

In process of booking DS a virtual reality gaming party - £160 for 12 kids. Extra £3.50 each for a hot dog, popcorn and drink.
Never done a party with entertainer though. Don’t know anyone whose paid over £200 for a party though and been to soft play, trampolining and church hall/entertainer. We’re in the north though which I can see from other posts makes a HUGE difference Shock

Location seems to make a huge difference to room hire costs. Our local village hall is £10 per hour and even the brand new community centre only £16ph (south central England)

Ive booked dds for later in the year

Sports hall 160 for 30 kids inc equipment
Face painter 60 for 2 hrs
Cake 85
Food - pizza delivery tbc
Then party bags, balloons, decorations budgeted 150

So expecting 500/600 ish

2 hr soft play party with 15 guests. They provide party games, food, cake ceremony, a character visit and party bags. Costs us £60. Regular (non family) customers it would cost around £100. Not a bad deal at all.

Last month we had a hall for dd's 5th
Hall £60
Entertainer £105
Food, cake, decorations, party bags (all done by myself to save costs) £70

Halls are so much faff though. Must preferred the swimming and soft play she had in previous years and cheaper too!
