I mean blocking the stricter new laws about FGM.

He is an utter disgrace and a danger to women and girls everywhere. Holding up efforts to protect girls from FGM makes him a danger

Arsehole!

His local Conservative Association should deselect him.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 08/02/2019 21:11

How old is he now? It’s going to be a safer country for women when he drops off the perch.

PerkingFaintly · 08/02/2019 21:30

I'm pretty sure he only opposes those which involve sending people to jail.

Nope.

In 2013 he objected to the bill to posthumously pardon Alan Turing for being gay.

In 2013 he objected to the bill to posthumously pardon Alan Turing for being gay.

So he hates gay men as well as women. Class act.

TrixieFranklin · 09/02/2019 20:38

He's my MP, and yes he is a total and complete wanker.

BarbarianMum · 09/02/2019 21:04

Trixie do people in your constituency not care about the blocking do you think? Or is it an area where people are just determined to vote conservative, no matter what? (I used to live in a place where people would have voted for a plastic donkey if the conservative party had chosen it to represent them).

TrixieFranklin · 09/02/2019 21:59

@BarbarianMum they would vote conservative no matter who stood. From memory in the last election he had a majority of over 25,000 despite people knowing exactly what he's like. They aren't voting for him at all, just the party.

His voting history makes me ashamed to be his constituent.

SassitudeandSparkle · 09/02/2019 22:05

There have been complaints to the constituency Committee - the Chair has had people calling to complain - they are going to have a meeting about it. I think they will be watched very carefully!

TrixieFranklin · 09/02/2019 22:13

Yes I saw that in the Bournemouth Echo, it will be very interesting how things pan out. My hope is that he bows out and buggers off Grin

We are looking more likely to have a new MP soon! One of the fellow MPs for North Dorset said its time he 'buggered off' Grin fingers crossed.

ohfourfoxache · 17/02/2019 23:45

Thank fuck for that!

Patroclus · 18/02/2019 01:25

Lets just gt this clear, he doesnt do it because hes worried about drafting, he let his mates bills through and has his own, he does it when its concerning women's rights.
