To be annoyed by foot talcing?

Ok so DP talcs his feet every morning before putting his socks on (I believe he dies this by putting talc directly into the socks but regardless talc goes all over the floor! Bedroom, bathroom, landing, it makes no difference where he does it - the upshot is a small dusty patch. It really annoys me! Am I being unreasonable and even if I am, what can I do about it?! I need suggestions!

Some powder now is corn powder ( Crabtree and Evelyn etc) as talc is no longer being used.
I use powder after swimming to get dry. It helps smooth socks and tights back on after a dip.

Anyone fancy one?

Don’t they end up looking like dough balls...
Or those mini deep fried doughnuts

Passthegin99 · 06/02/2019 19:06

Brilliant! Sounds like I'm lucky to have dodged the ball talc Grin

I will suggest a talc towel...

I always talc my feet 🤣 glad to know I’m not the only one

I had a guest staying over Christmas who did this every day. My spare bedroom has a wooden floor. By the end of the week it looked like a couple of Colombian drug barons had been having an almighty party in there.

ChristineBaskets · 06/02/2019 21:16

Oh man this thread has made me really want some fancy dusting powder and a big puff! Grin

I love talc. There's nothing like its silky loveliness on your damper areas. I couldn't wear tights without it, or body shaper type things. I find it very comforting and oddly indulgent to use!

NearlySchoolTimeAgain · 06/02/2019 21:19

I have a rug in the bathroom for talcing. I do it over the shower tray and step onto the rug for rubbing in. We also have wooden floors!

I’ve managed to convert my DH too. Goodbye athletes foot!

toomuchtooold · 06/02/2019 21:27

Wouldn't they be less like small dough balls and more like large Rafaellos?

WhiteDust · 06/02/2019 21:31

I didn’t know talc still existed- haven’t encountered it since the 70’s except the recent reporting of cancer links (but presumed that was from historical use?). Thought it was consigned to the past with white dog poo & findus crispy pancakes

terriblyangryattimes · 06/02/2019 22:43

Another Ball-talc husband in my house. Also his thighs (to stop the chafe apparently) and it drives me CRAZY! A fine layer of dust on everything like a post apocalyptic nightmare... the kids draw faces in it

Rememberyourhat · 06/02/2019 22:46

Ok am I the only one who thought ball talc was a ball made out of talc that you rolled on somehow Blush

showmeshoyu · 06/02/2019 23:25

I use a spray powder that instructs you to spray directly into socks and shoes, much neater. I do my socks over the bath anyway.
