A lot of people on here talk about schooling, issues with teachers etc. but no one ever seems to bring up NCTL hearing outcomes. I wonder if everyone knows about them?
I didn't but it shocked me how many teachers are sanctioned for having inappropriate relationships with students and these never make the news. In fact, it just makes me feel so sick.
Am I the only one who didn't know about these?!

For those who don't know, the process is as follows:
- a teacher is reported to the NCTL by their school. This could be for anything from an inappropriate relationship with a student to being caught drink driving one Saturday afternoon after watching the football
- The NCTL decides whether to take it any further, if they don't think it brings the profession into disrepute then nothing happens, we would never know
3)If they think it does it goes to a panel, the accused gets to give their side, evidence collected, lawyers assigned
- there's two outcomes 'no order made' and 'prohibition order' these will be banning them as a teacher but may give them the option to reapply to the profession in 2-5 years.
