Please, please does anyone have any amazing recommendations for fine, frizzy, almost dead looking hair? I remember going to a salon once where i walked out with the most silkiest, separated hair fibres ever.
Have never been able to find anything remotely similar.

Soo if you have any sooper dooper potions or lotions that you could point me to i would be most grateful with bells on.

Diolch /Thank you!

Ooh I'd like to follow this one please!!

Olaplex. You need to go to a salon for it. I have it every time I go to the salon (every 8-10wks)

Joico kPak reconstructor mask. You can buy from feelunique/look fantastic. They do a super moisturising mask too, I use the reconstructor every 3-4 weeks and the moisturising one every week. I use the kPak shampoo & conditioner in between too but it’s fine with whatever shampoo & conditioner you like.

Some people swear by the PK elasticiser. I’m not a huge fan of it. It seems to either do nothing for my hair, or make it weirdly stretchy. Confused. It has a massive cult following though

Don’t buy from eBay or Amazon. Buy from a big, reputable site that is a licensed reseller.

Without doubt Olaplex stage 3.
My lovely hairdresser recommended over a year ago but only got around to ordering early Jan in a fit of desperation.
I use it twice a week - put it on over night under a shower cap (classy!)
It has transformed my hair already. Just about to take out a second mortgage to buy the shampoo and conditioner which they have just started doing - they are stage 4 and 5.
Good luck OP!! 😊

This is the hydrating mask from Joico

This is the PK elasticiser

Have Olaplex stage 1&2 at the salon. Stage 3 is the bond maintenance product you use at home. There are a LOT of fakes out there. Cult Beauty sells the genuine article. They also sell the new shampoo & conditioner. There is a special method for the s&c, so it should last ages.

The at home Brazilian straightening thing. There's a MN thread on it which is how I found it. It costs £25 and does at least 2 goes. Your hair is straight, silky, frizz free and doesn't need styled for 3 months. Changed my life.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 05/02/2019 18:56

Isn’t Brazilian straightening horribly damaging though?

Suziepoozie · 05/02/2019 18:58

Moroccan oil. Amazing. Pricey but worth it.

Treseme do a really good keratin mask that has absolutely saved my hair in the winter (bleached and heavily dyed). Home Bargains do some good masks with Argan oil in that are great.

The treseme keratin heat protector/ leave in condition spray (I think, it’s in a red bottle) and a tangle teaser under a dryer leaves my hair so smooth and shiny.

I love elasticizer.

Thesmallthings · 05/02/2019 19:00

This used with the same shampoo and conditioner. They also do a hair mask.

It's truly amazing.

Living proof is also good, both the restore range and the no frizz range.

This Philip Kingsley conditioner is the most moisturising thing I have ever put in my hair (and I have tried many). It's huge too, so lasts me almost an entire year: www.lookfantastic.com/philip-kingsley-moisture-extreme-conditioner-1000ml/10780671.html

And then this hair oil. Amazing, and doesn't weigh hair down at all: www.lookfantastic.com/kerastase-elixir-ultime-l-original-hair-oil/11858060.html

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 05/02/2019 19:20

That conditioner is brilliant, Tale.

Thank you all for your suggestions Smile

There's a hair oil on Instagram that I swear by. You put on on for a few hours then wash out. It gives you the most gorgeous shine and silky smooth hair. You can leave it on over night if your hair is in a really bad way. Its magicmixhair_oil

edwinbear · 05/02/2019 21:03

Nanokeratin treatment, like a Brazilian blow dry but without the harsh chemicals. Takes about 2 hours for my hairdresser to apply, costs about £125 but I can wash my hair, leave it to dry naturally and it dries like it’s been straightened with GHD’s.

Also, Percy & Reeve, Wonder Overnight Recovery is awesome. Put it in your hair before bed, it dries in a couple of minutes so no need for a shower hat, wash out in the morning to silly hair Grin

I too have fine frizzy hair that has driven me to distraction!
After spending a small fortunate on products I find the best to be the Moroccan oil hydrate mask. I often put it on then leave it overnight.
If you get frizzy in the rain then WOW dream coat is good and Sebastian re-shaper hairspray is fantastic.
You can buy all of these in travel sizes to try before you splash out. Might save you spending a fortunate like I have.
