Should I make the DCs get up and go out?

It's a lovely day, very cold but sunny, still snow around, roads are clear though.

We have been hibernating for weeks. Apart from work or school we've done nothing.
Another day in the house watching films is looking likely...I've suggested a walk and Sunday lunch out but they want to stay put. They're looking pasty and tired.

Shall I 'force' them out or leave them to it? (Teens btw).

Are they looking pasty through the recent lack of being outdoors or are the genuinely ill?

WhiteDust · 03/02/2019 09:31

Not I'll but in the middle of exams. Pasty through lack of fresh air and genuinely tired.
I'm torn because I know they need to get out but also need rest.

I would force them, who doesn’t like someone else cooking Sunday lunch for them! Cold, fresh air is good for the soul!

moodyblues · 03/02/2019 09:35

Get them out, it will do them the world of good.

My dis is pale and tired all the time but I made him come out for a dog walk yesterday with me and his little brother and some lunch after and we had a lovely time and he enjoyed it. He never wants to but when I make him he usually perks him up a bit.

Compromise? Short trip out for spot of lunch and little walk somewhere close by. Sometimes you can't be bothered to get out but when you do it's invigorating.

HoraceCope · 03/02/2019 09:37

oh definately go out

Bigbag
That's a good idea! I know just the place. Nearby, short trail for quick walk with lovely cafe/restaurant at end of it. They do Sunday lunch!!!
They just need to get out of bed & break the day up.
School is hard work at the moment and they work hard. There's no denying it.

That's what I think. They'll feel better for it!
Ok, I'll just tell them we're going. Wish me luck.
