I have a new toy! It's a debobbler and I am 'shaving' all my jumpers, sweaters and scarves and getting them nice and smooth. It's so therapeutic to start with a jumper that is scruffy and ratty and end up with a jumper just like new after a bit of work. It's so satisfying - I LOVE it! Grin

Ooh I want one too! I have to wear this annoying lanyard thing at work for security and it always makes my work clothes go all bobbly...I didn't know it was possible to de-bobble them!

I got mine from Home Bargains for a few £. Very satisfying!

Has anyone used one of these on a textured coat with any success? Mine is a sort of tweedy fabric, 35% wool/65% polyester (I just checked the label!) and it's gone a bit wild.

Can anyone link a good one for sofas? Mine desperately needs doing.

An afternoon spent debobbling and ironing ones sweaters and cardies is therapeutic and so satisfying.

Unfortunately not many people believe this and it’s a habit I’ve had to keep quiet about to avoid eye rolling so HURRAH!!! I’ve found my people. Grin

It didn't disappoint.

JasperRising · 05/02/2019 19:02

Mine arrived this afternoon. Unfortunately, I am crazy busy at the moment so may have to save the actual debobbling for a few days (don't want to accidentally ruin nice jumpers by rushing!)

You can just use a normal razor.

Sparklingbrook · 05/02/2019 21:32

Normal razor doesn't have the cute little collecting pot though.

Lockheart · 05/02/2019 22:55

True, but they don’t cost a tenner!

Sparklingbrook · 05/02/2019 22:57

My Lidl one was £3.99 but I haven't seen them in there since. Sad
