Ok, that sounds bad!
It was my birthday in jan (everyone including me!) were broke, so had arranged a night out at a very nice, poshish, restaurant for tonight...
2 of my dc decided to get a very high temperature yesterday, and with calpol seemed ok!
Today my youngest (8 months) was fine until about 12, then was burning up, whingeing etc, lots of cuddles, bf etc, and had lunch.
Decided with dh that he would probably be fine so went ahead with plans to go out
I was showered & all done up like a bloody supermodel (😂) ready to go, and then, for only the 2nd time ever, said dc childdecided after their bedtime feed to not go to sleep!!
30 mins before we were due to go out we had to cancel!!!
So gutted! Was my first night out due to life/kids in around a year!!!
Has anyone else had to cancel anything last min because of their dc?? (Lighthearted btw- I know they can't help it!!). Just a bit fed up that instead of a juicy steak i had to wolf down a salad Grin

I also have 4 dc, bugs galore especially at xmas time Angry

@TheCanyon @Youknowmedontyou thank you! I did say to the other couple I'd go & leave dh to watch ds, but we all decided it would be better if we could all go out as a group! Hence the plan for 2 weeks time!! Fingers crossed 🤞

Youre a better woman than me chilled, i would be running out that door waving to dh Grin

Two weeks time, feels like a lifetime away, but you WILL be on your night out and i WILL be in 25 degrees... pleaseeee

chilledmumma5 · 01/02/2019 22:53

@TheCanyon it's feeling like a lifetime but it's also something to look forward to 😉!
I'm very jealous! Where are you off to??

I feel really bad now too - I really hope everyone appreciates this is lighthearted, I've had a personal loss (stillborn) and would never be upset or even think about being annoyed or anything if my child was seriously ill

chilledmumma5 · 01/02/2019 23:09

@TheCanyon I will be jealous!! Just make sure you have plenty of wine(if you drink??!) and try to not be too smug getting a tan whilst we all freeze 🥶 😂!
Thank you, we are all human, horrible things happen, , but life continues...

This happened to me very recently, the one time I was invited out on a girls night out, husband at home for once and the baby was ill and only wanted me.
