I can never seem to say anaesthetise.

My friend can’t say kettle properly and my brother has trouble with vinegar!

Salford - I can never get the Sal part of the word correct and I know I get it wrong so I over think it and then get it even more wrong. Dh would ask me to say it as it always made him laugh.

Tutulafromage · 02/02/2019 10:50

Soldier.....always say shoulder lol

fifipop185 · 02/02/2019 11:10

Advertisement. I always always end up saying "advert-ise-ment". The more I try to get it right, the more wrong it comes out Blush

DH can't say "sauce". It comes out as "shauce" Grin

Slightlyjaded · 02/02/2019 11:10

I never know whether the ending is 'wise' or 'woise'

thegreylady · 02/02/2019 11:22

My ds couldn’t say hypnotise (hyptonise) or canal (canel)
He is now 48 and still has to think about them.

midsomermurderess · 02/02/2019 11:28

I struggle with rural. The 2 's in quick succession? I don't know, but I get stuck in a sort of roooo sound and struggle to get to the end.

Melstarrynight · 02/02/2019 11:29

Prescription. Really annoying when collecting mine!

PrincessPeachy1 · 02/02/2019 11:30

Not really the same but I can’t do the Makaton sign for horse.
I get my hands all the wrong way round.

irnbruforlife · 02/02/2019 12:15

Triathlon. Comes out as trialathon .or triathalon. Not that I ever ever really need to use that word 🤣

InsomniacAnonymous · 02/02/2019 12:17

I have to really concentrate to say 'anemone' correctly, otherwise it comes out as 'anenome'. Fortunately, it's not a word I need to say very often.

Cosmos45 · 02/02/2019 12:19

Not a word as such but a name.. I just can’t say Jeremy. It comes out as Jerimany. Pretty embarrassing when one of my closest friends had a boyfriend called Jeremy..

tillytrotter1 · 02/02/2019 12:26

Kimberley, it always comes out like Victoria Wood, I dreaded having a Kimberley in my class!
I was surprised as a child to find there is no b in chimney, in the NW it was regularly pronounced chimbley.

BagofTeeth · 02/02/2019 12:45

Abominable. Unless I say it very slowly I always say it as a-bob-in-a-bubble.

Nescafe · 02/02/2019 12:52

I can't say Rory

It comes out as Wohrway

I've a thick Belfast accent 😂 and a nephew called Rory ffs

Nescafe · 02/02/2019 12:54

Or LouWheeze

Inaboatwithoutapaddle247 · 02/02/2019 12:58
