Stuck up nosey neighbour..

My eldest son (24 years of age) works in a shop. He did well at school, college and now supports himself financially. On talking with my neighbour she asked how he was and where he wasn’t working. I’m not ashamed so told her. I may well have said he was a mass murderer by the look on her face.

Was I wrong to say, or should I have lied? It’s quite a well to do area and I guess we’re not the right type.

Please anyone else gone through this?

Her stuff, ignore, I am glad your son is content.

Ah, the famous Mumsnet ‘look’ returns. Are you sure she pulled a face, or are you just reflecting your own feelings onto a perfectly harmless neighbour?

Self supporting and happy adult, I'd be proud. Does she think all the local shop workers get bused in from a ghetto each day?

Nothininmenoggin · 31/01/2019 21:50

I'd be proud too. How rude of her.

So what does this female paragon do for a living? And i dont mran to be rude, but what are you "going through"? You met the neighbourhood Hyacinth Bucket. It happens, every neighbourhood has one. Chill.

GaynorGoodwin · 03/02/2019 17:43
