Hi i am single mum, to austic child .
I left my ex due to high Domestic violence frim my ex while i was pregnant. My ex has once a month supervised contact due to safeguarding issues, its been court order.

both me and my child live in tiny maisonette above us is family of five , they moved in two years ago they very noisey and this makes for alot stress and anxiety for my child ,he can't fall sleep in his bed or play in his room as the kids upstairs wind my child up and its hard for him to relax.
I have tried my best to resolve these issues as best i can but there is only so much i can do , but i can see what negative having noisy neighbours impact that its having on my child , he needs a safe place to ingage in senory seeking behaviours and proper equipment and its something i don't have as i don't have currently alot space to accommodate this .

I been thinking of moving for about ayear now and just be looking at what i can afford , so that my child could have peace and quiet and have like senory playroom, but the thing is i cant afford a property where i am living that would suit my child needs in that way , i am looking to live about 1.40mins drive away about 2hours on train that in my price range . I do plan to come back regularly to vist family and they more then happy to travel up and for contact and i acknowledge its important that our child does see ex .
The only problem left is my ex , in the past he tried to put a prohibit steps for stopping taking our child out the country, but i offered him pr if he dropped the prohibited steps order in which he did , he then went to go to make claims of parenting alienation against me making out i was preventing him seeing our child , court did not find me gulity of that and did recognise that i was trying to maintain relationship with our child and ex best i could do given the circumstances why ex has supervised and don't see our child alot .

Iam feeling very anxious as i don't want him to try it again go for a prohibit steps for when i move , this move is not trying to stop him seeing our child , but to improve the better of qulity of live by having a home that accommodates my child needs .

My ex in the past has harassed me and has even use contact to immediate me to get what he wants in the past .
He keeps threatening me going to court and seeing his solicitor about changing the court order to un supervised . He had supervised contact over the last few years .

I know its frown upon by court when a parent with child moves some distance away for the other parent and i kinda of worried that legal impact of this choice .

I am more then happy to travel to make our child available for contact .
This move is to benefit my child mostly and for the opportunity get really good job too for myself, while trying keep in touch of family, friends and ex for my child to have this aswell .
Would you say these are reasonable grounds to be moving away and reasonable distance away that could reduce the chances of me getting a prohibit steps order granted if ex finds out ?

I would ring for an appointment with a solicitor just to clarify your position first.Do you have a health visitor or social worker or anyone helping you with your child? It might be a good idea to get them on side to help you if it does go to court. My thinking behind this is the court would more than likely approve your move if you could prove it was a well thought out plan made with the help and input of proffessionals, I would go about reserching and getting the back up I needed before I presented my options to your ex he is the last person I would be telling anything to! Good Luck and Best Wishes sent.

I got support early years family support team , they just family support workers ,not social workers, hv are not really supportive where I live , but I think I would need the courts permission before any professionals can have thire input.
