Brexit food cupboard?

Ok, I know I might get some negativity around this, but I think I’ll rather be silly than sorry!

I am starting to gather a few things for ‘in case’, and wondered what you have in your Brexit food cupboard?

So far I only have some tins of food, extra cleaning and toiletry products,a couple of bottles of juice, long life milk and cereal. Hmm Not very impressive!

Please tell me what’s in yours, so I can add to my list before going shopping?

Peanut butter is a protein source which can last a fair while. And is nice with jam on toast if you're wanting something sweet.

Cloud tree - not sure where you live but we have flour, veg, eggs and cider beer etc made locally that we usually export all year round and if we can’t export it, we’ll sell it locally.
I’m fully aware that we can’t produce the beans, tomatoes or salad stuff we normally use, but worrying people unnecessarily is mean.
Plus we currently throw away half the food we buy. So no I’m not worried.

Talking about this and informing people is the very opposite of being mean Hmm. what's the point in pretending everything would be ok if we leave without a deal when it clearly wouldn't be. if people stock up because they realise that we don't produce nearly enough food in this country to feed the population then that is a good thing.

If you're throwing away half of the food you buy then that's pretty shocking.

March is slap bang in the hungry gap for the UK. We produce erm rhubarb - not nearly enough for everyone to survive on and cabbage. Yum. Might be a few leeks around.

You need to understand that the fact that we sell things is not the same as producing them.

With regard eggs. We were self sufficient in eggs before ww2, eggs had to be rationed though because the chicken food was imported, this was in short supply so the chickens had to be slaughtered.

Why are we doing this Brexit nonsense again? We're an international laughter stock. How could any responsible government introduce a policy that will result in shortages of food and medicine. I've seen that a petition on the number 10 web site has 350,000 signatures demanding 'no deal'.
