To ask if you have dated anyone famous?

I have never even met anyone remotely famous!

@Kismetjayn Mine was not, but I actually do know HC! (Have worked with him and have a mutual friend) He’s a very sweet guy, so I’m surprised now - doesn’t seem his style!

@FenellaMaxwell You have me wondering if we're all talking about the same HC as I have a close friend who has worked with him and he is well-known for being - er - a bit of a sexual deviant! Not in a creepy way (although he does tend to go for very young women) but I certainly wouldn't put a threesome past him!

Slept with someone whose dad used to work for the Queen, he's fairly well known for what he does in certain circles.

Not here, but went out with a sort of teen idol in another country. We were in our early twenties, trying to date but being chased around by squealing teenage girls all the time. It was extremely annoying and was surreal - and we didn’t last. Shockingly, he was rather full of himself and his ego grew rapidly as his popularity rose. Aka he became an absolute dick. A friend of mine bumped into his sister a while later and she said something along the lines of “it’s such a shame that *War couldn’t handle my brother’s amazing rise to fame”, my friend was like nahhh, I think he was just an arsehole.

I snogged the bassist from Brand New Heavies at a party and then went on a date with him. He drank too much, had his Amex declined (because they didn’t take Amex), so I had to pay then I drove him home while giving him a lecture on drink driving (he wanted to drive home but I told him I wouldn’t let him because he was over the limit). I can’t imagine why he didn’t call again...

Someone I've known for years has gone on to be a superstar DJ. He used to go out with a friend of mine.

yes years ago, I did and I will forever kick myself that when deciding whether or not we were going to get together I completely failed to factor in the “fame” thing! We had known each other a few years during which time he was well known so I never considered it! And ultimately it was ruined by the attention- press hassling me to sell my story, photographers on the doorstep etc

I was in a relationship with someone who played a Jedi Knight in the middle 3 Star Wars films and was in another major film around the same time. I won’t say who it is because you won’t have heard of him. Also he was a complete psychopath and i’m rather embarrassed by the whole thing

I have a relative-in-law who 'parties' with a TV star and their boyfriend/husband in a very seedy way. They were a teenager when it started and the couple were in their late forties. They seem a bit sleazy in interviews but from what I hear from the r-i-l they are so much worse in real life.

I hear a lot of the juicy celebrity gossip this way - some of it verges on the truth but some just seems to be bitching. I think trying to cling to fame/experience wealth & glamour by associating with these lowlifes is very harmful.

Indeed. I've just googled it and they'd been together a good few years by then. Was abroad - maybe he thought as it was different area codes it was a green light
