to think he should brush his teeth

...twice a day?

My partner will only brush his teeth at night. In the morning he gets up, gets dressed, drinks a mug of tea, gels his hair, and leaves for work. He says he doesn't need to brush his teeth in the morning as he hasn't eaten anything.

He has had to have quite a few fillings as well as root canals lately, and I'm sure it's connected. I don't want to kiss him as all I can think about is he hasn't brushed his teeth since last night.

I was always taught to brush twice a day, so wondering if it's normal for others to only do it once? He won't listen to me.

Of course he should. His breath must be vile.

I would also suggest to him that he researches the links that have been shown between gum disease and Alzheimer’s.

If he won't listen to the NHS who will he listen to?

YANBU, has he never heard of morning breath?!

Good grief 😮 his breath must stink. Teeth brushing is not just for eating, plaque can build over night, and the phrase ‘morning breath’ exists for a reason!

Of course he should brush them twice a day!! I can be a bit shanky WRT changing sheets, showering and cleaning the house but even I wouldn't dream of leaving the house or going to bed without cleaning my teeth.

Grim!

Aquamarine1029 · 28/01/2019 21:14

That is just absolutely disgusting.
