Just that really, currently ttc but money will be tight when go on maternity of and when the time comes, currently saving money for that time and talking to friends the other day saying might start to stock up on things like nappies, wipes, little bits etc just to spread the cost, friends said iabu to do this as I’m not even pregnant yet.

Did anyone else buy baby things before getting pregnant ? Is it weird ? Aibu ? Confused

Definitely no need to stockpile consumables. They only fit a certain size nappy for a short while. DS is 12 weeks and has worn sizes 0, 1, 2 and 3 already. I use Huggies wipes at a pound a pack, Wilko nappy bags for £1, Aveeno baby wash which I bought in Sainsbury's for £3. Babies themselves aren't expensive but keeping yourself amused on mat leave can be. Save money for that! Baby classes, coffee with friends, swimming, petrol or travelcard costs, etc.

I never did but I know of people who have done this. It's not to spread the coat, it's a nesting thing.

I bought own really wonderful and expensive baby outfit set with blanket etc as a promise to myself I would one day have a baby (when I was told I would
Struggle to conceive). But I did not buy anything else until i was pregnant.
