Shamelessly posting for traffic - where to go on family holiday in April?

Shamelessly posting for traffic!

I’d like to go on holiday at the start of April with my family (parents and sister), and we’re not really sure where to go.

We were thinking of staying in Europe (my mum’s interested in Spain), but is possibly open to going somewhere else.

The main things my mum would like are:
Somewhere where most things are included (at least breakfast and dinner)
Somewhere sunny and maybe by the sea
Not very expensive (she’s not sure about an exact budget yet though)
Options for where to go could include France (although my mum doesn’t seem particularly keen), Italy, Spain (she’s keenest on Spain), Greece (maybe even something further abroad (outside Europe?)

Any ideas on where to go please?

Canary islands all inclusive

Thanks Nice - that’s a really good idea :) we’ve been there once there and really enjoyed it, but while it would be good to go, it would be lovely to go somewhere new. Does anyone else have any other ideas please?

You've been to all the canaries? Wow.

Otherwise genuinely Benidorm has one of the best beaches in Spain.

I'd be reluctant to book to go any where in April until more is known about what's going to happen with brexit. In the event of no deal things will be chaotic at ports and airports for a while

Spain not stable enough in April for me (my mum lives there. Cape Verde?

Malta! It has something for everyone.

Thanks, everyone. Any ideas on which websites or companies I could look at for good deals, please?

If you decide to stay in the UK (if you are in the UK?) because of Brexit chaos, we did the Isle of Wight at Easter two years ago and it was gorgeous, it was still cold elsewhere in the UK but we came back with a tan, they have their own lovely microclimate we loved it! We went to Cornwall last Easter, a week of gale force winds and sideways rain but on the way home we went to stay with family in the South East and it was glorious!

Also me and my mum went to The Algarve the first week of April a few years ago, we weren't expecting beach weather but we were on the beach all day every day, not sure if that's normal for April there though or if we picked a good week though.

Gran Canaria is fabulous, been 4 Easters in a row. Jet2 is your friend.

I’d wait a bit longer until we have a bit more information as to what Brexit will look like. Not that I’m fear monger if or anything, but insurance isn’t covering for any kind of Brexit related loss and April will be the time that there’s issues (if there are any).

ETA Mogan is especially beautiful

FrankieHeckisinTheMiddle · 25/01/2019 21:46

And ignore Brexit scaremongering, go and enjoy yourself.

Jason118 · 25/01/2019 22:10

As long as you're prepared to be flexible on time taken to travel, you should be ok regarding a Brexit deal scenario. A no deal scenario on the other hand looks like a complete box of frogs, maybe pack a tent in case you need itSmile

Thanks again for your suggestions everyone!
