To think the word “indeed” is a normal word?

It’s not a posh or clever word at all. Why do some people think it is?

I’m married to posh. They say ‘Quaite’ when they mean indeed

Flop always says it doesn't he.

My farmers-wife DGM used to say it a lot. Usually in response to something that displeased her

It is a good word though, in that it can mean so many different things depending on the tone in which it’s said.
