To cry about how hard it is

Working full time (PT not an option.)

I have to get my kids to nursery/school for 8, as it doesn't open before then and nor does anywhere else. It's a real rush to get to work for 8:20 and now there are roadworks turning everywhere into chaos.

Then the same in reverse, maybe an hour together before bed.

It's miserable at the moment (I know, january blues.)

Thanks Sorry to hear you're going through this. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Do you have support in RL?

It's just one of those ... I know I'm not alone!

I only work part time but long days. Leave the house at 6.15 back by 6pm. Dp drops kids off in morning, I pick up at night. We both have demanding jobs. I'm constantly rushing and stressed. It's also a struggle to actually do the job part time. The days off are often recovering with tired kids. I wandered today how long I can carry on like this. You are not alone...

It is hard. But it gets better. ❤️

Doing two way pick ups does sound v stressful, I am lucky (ish) because I only pick my child up (and it is a stressful hour long commute to get her, leaving work at 5 for 6pm pick up). Not long until secondary school now however for her when I am told she will be going to and from school on her own?! That will definitely ease the pain as even an extra 10 minutes to get home would make all the difference! I feel for you, but it won’t be forever. As they get older you get a longer evening with them too as they can stay up later which is nice.
