Parcels stinking of smoke

I've just had some packages delivered from Amazon (delivery guy was a bloke in his own car). As soon as I got the packages inside I noticed a really strong smell of cigarette smoke, he had clearly been smoking in his vehicle while doing his rounds. Would I be unreasonable to complain about this? Or would you just shrug it off? I've had to put the packages in the garage as they were stinking out the house, but the items themselves don't seem to have been tainted.

My local yodel guy smokes in his van. It’s his personal van as yodel want self employed delivery people more than on the books in branded van guys. Most delivery companies have more self employed staff than on the books staff.

I have complained to Hermes before about the exact same thing. They told me nothing they could do as drivers are self employed. I just now never order from anyone that uses them. Much harder to do if Amazon and a Prime customer though.

How is this a problem when the packaging is going in the bin any way? It must be exhausting to spend life getting pissed off by such trivia.

Had the same happen to me with a Yodel delivery guy. He actually left the van with the fag still in his hands and walked up my drive with it so absolutely reeked when he got to my door (and ditched the butt in my bin). I wasn’t impressed and definitely complained.
