Hmm seems very odd when identical twins can get different results on a DNA ancestry test.... right?

Was considering getting one done but now I'm not so sure..

A lot of the data is extrapolated, heard a story about someone sending in a swab from their dog and getting loads of detailed information from it but that might be an urban myth.
I would take any findings with a barrel of salt.

why would you - what do you think they are doing with your data? (I have an alexa and i am dubious)

It's not odd if they're shit tests.

I have had both Ancestry and 23&me tests done. I’m not that bothered about the ethnicity part which is an interpretation of the results but the DNA matching to relatives is amazing. I have managed to identify both of my birth parents (I’m adopted) via 2nd and 3rd cousins of theirs who had tested Grin
