I have no idea. I think maybe I should talk to my doctor but I don't know if I am just overreacting. What to I do?

Don't want to read and run but yes, please do talk to your doctor. They absolutely will not mind you speaking to them about this so please don't worry about that x

Definitely go see your doctor.

Atalune · 19/01/2019 20:01

Is it dry skin? I can’t picture what you mean. However you should absolutely go and chat to your doctor about it. No point sitting at home worrying.

mb0823 · 19/01/2019 22:41

I am going to the doctor on monday. I would post a pic but I don't know how.

My grandma says it is nothing serious and probably nothing to really worry about. She's probably right. It's most likely a bug bite or something. I am only 16 and I don't have a gynecologist. I would feel really uncomfortable talking to be regular doctor about it

With all due respect OP you need to get over your discomfort now.

Doctors have seen everything and embarrassment should not be a barrier to health treatment.

Go see your GP - they’ll know what to do.

Monty27 · 21/01/2019 04:52

OP, don't walk to see your GP, RUN!
Sorry I don't mean to frighten you as such. It might be eczema or something.
But never underestimate your concern, just go. Even if to put your mind at rest. Smile

DarienGap · 21/01/2019 04:57

Please go to see your doctor OP.
Don't let any embarrassment put you off.
Your regular doc will advise and put your mind at rest.

Thanks

@mb0823

I remember feeling that way when I was 16. Please remember that doctors do this stuff every day, for them they chose the profession to help people they will not judge you.

I'm 30 now and about to have a baby. All sense of embarrassment leaves you when you're pregnant so it will get easier I promise you!

You can always take your grandmother with you if she's in a position to go?

mb0823 · 21/01/2019 15:43

Thank you very much

Your GP will see a lot more breasts than a gynaecologist, unless you don't live in the UK?
I'm a GP and I see 35 patients a day. It's not unusual for at least one of these to be a breast examination, often more. So please don't feel embarrassed about your doctor seeing your breasts, it's utterly routine for them.
At 16 it's really, really unlikely to be anything worrying but do get it checked just in case.
Be aware that if it's not very clearly just a skin problem which just happens to be in your breast, rather than a breast issue, they might need to do a full examination rather than just a look which means they'll need to feel both breasts and also your armpits - so don't be alarmed if they ask if they can do this! They should explain it all to you if you're nervous but I find it helpful to have an idea of what to expect.

completely understand your feelings. I had a lump in my breast when I was 16 and it took me days and days to tell my Mum I was so frightened. We went straight to the doctors and it turned out to be a cyst and was dealt with really easily. Please do not leave this it probably is nothing but you need a Doctor to confirm that. Big hugs.

Bluelonerose · 21/01/2019 16:10

Hi op I found a lump few weeks before Xmas. Went to Dr who referred me to breast clinic where I was scanned poked and prodded and told it was a cyst and nothing to worry about.
Definetly go see a Dr and try not to worry.
