Labyrinthitis and the Friends Trivia Quiz

I’ve just realised that my Friends Trivia Quiz thread went to 1000. Thank you so much for cheering me up!

Sorry I didn’t post on it after a few pages but I’ve developed labyrinthitis and can’t focus! It really sucks as I’m sure anyone who has had it knows, and when I’m well I’ll never complain about first world problems again. Hold me to that!

Thanks so much MNers. Xxx

Agreed, Nicoala, I had one on holiday in Spain, and was mortified when I had to be sat down on a kerb in the middle of the street, because I couldn’t stand. We were on a day trip to a place well known for its party atmosphere and I wanted to explain to everyone I was not, in fact, totally hammered at 10am 🙄.

Much sympathy op.
My DH has had this and he became a different person when he was ill. He's had a couple of relapses and is now on the neurology waiting list as he's felt "off" for several months now.

Have Meniere’s. Had a Labyrinthectomy. Obviously it has its own issues but life is now so much better than constant attacks of Menieres.

Started off with Dr’s diagnosing labrynthitis which would recurr every now and again which finally led to a Menieres diagnosis. Under control (with the odd period of instability for many years) then all of a sudden it was pretty constant. I couldn’t get a lower sodium diet, the steroid injections were not working and I was living on stemetil and ondansetron daily. I opted not to go down the gentamicin route as with my type of Menieres the success rate was really low so went straight to the labrynthectomy.
