Chardonnay

I'm fully prepared for LTB.

I asked my (usually lovely) partner to bring home wine. He knows how much I live a merlot, I was anticipating a lovely red glowing glass.

He brought home CHARDONNAY.

Am I being unreasonable to sink it and throw him out?

Reminds me of the time I asked my partner to buy Cabernet Sauvignon and he bought Sauvignon blanc

I refused it, he drank it and felt horrendous this morning so that's payback as far as I'm concerned.

I hate all wine, especially white, but I’ve noticed a lot more people drinking it again at work (business cabin on an airplane). It used to be unpopular, now it’s in demand again.

Chardonnay is lovely... when it's been made into champagne

I feel your pain, and usually I drink dry white wine. At an absolute push I would drink chardonnay with a dash of soda. At least it was not (shudder) a medium white. Just looking for positives! Is there any particular reason he went so off brief? I remember the time late DH turned up with some emergency wine which was foul. I was with friends and we had run out so called him to bring supplies on his way back. He basically walked into an off licence and told them to he wanted the cheapest dry white wine they had as we were all too pissed for anything better!

Did any of you ever try a Californian Rombauer Chardonnay ? Better than any Merlot.Expensive but wonderful.I cannot drink red wine anymore and that is my absolute favourite wine.
