They won't speak to me, they're totally unreasonable right?

To think if I was asked to do a job, and I'd plugged away for 2 years. Rejected any outside help, postponed meetings with the board to then give a poorly put together business plan that pleased nobody and lost me the boards confidence. To then agree that MAYBE I need a bit of help.

Should I be surprised that some of the board members lack confidence in me and and don't want to now talk to me on MY terms??? They're being unreasonable towards me right? Wink

But Michel and his crew will be laughing at us and I really DON'T want BoJo to have a sniff at my job. He never invites me to any of his parties

You are being unreasonable I wouldn’t talk to you either.
There is a reason you only ever became PM any default.
You are shit

Ninjafox · 18/01/2019 00:28

Yeah Michel is a tough cookie alright. Don't get me started on Angela! They're a bit clicky

Proudandloveable0201 that's a bit harsh! Fancy joining my negotiating team?!

I think you need to stop pushing the idea that the board should go for your business plan because otherwise they'll be stuck with the other team leader. Don't you remember, you tried that argument repeatedly back in 2017 when you used a tactic that you hoped would ensure much more support for you on the board, and it backfired rather spectacularly leaving you with even less. You even had to go off and bribe another sub team just to ensure that you could keep your job..

MustShowDH · 18/01/2019 00:34

March in, tell them to stick their job and go and earn more money telling everyone stories about them all.

Ninjafox · 18/01/2019 00:38

I'm trying the open arm approach SaturdayNext. A free hug with every vote from now on. I don't much like the other team but I'll hug them if they back my idea.

birdsandroses · 18/01/2019 00:41

The problem is you tried to write up business plan that the majority of board wanted yet then gave far too many concessions to that small but noisy group who were suggesting a fantasy business plan.

Ninjafox · 18/01/2019 00:42

MustshowDH I know the board didn't like my business case BUT I won their vote of confidence. They clearly like me even if they're not into my ideas. I can win em round one hug at a time.

I don’t want to be a Debby downer but they don’t really like your work. However, that other guy and his team have full scale change of pooich for the whole company and its customers. They are terrified of it so they will stick with you.

birdsandroses · 18/01/2019 00:55

I will try again, messed up my last comment.

..I don’t want to be a Debby downer but they don’t really like you. However, that other guy and his team have full scale change of policy for the whole company and its customers. They are terrified of it so they will stick with you.

MustShowDH · 18/01/2019 00:56

They only want to keep you so you can be the butt of everyones jokes and leave them alone - you're best of out of there - no hugs allowed, sorry.

MustShowDH · 18/01/2019 00:58

PS - love your shoes, but have you thought about trying palates as none of your suit jackets look right on you.
Remember how you look definitely affects how you do your job.

BikingBeatrix · 18/01/2019 01:20

Listen, you silly woman, just go to bed and get some sleep. If you can’t actually sleep ,get Philip to give you a rub. Anywhere you fancy, but a back rub might help you relax. My son reckons you‘ll bog off abroad once you actually do pack in the job, because you won’t feel safe inthe Home Counties any more. I can’t say I’d thought about you enough to have that thought myself. Anyway, we‘re in the northern provinces and you‘ll certainly never be welcome here. Silly woman.

FoxFoxSierra · 18/01/2019 01:23

Tbh Theresa you need to face up to the fact that you're shit at your job and should just quit

Nothininmenoggin · 18/01/2019 01:43

What I want to know is when this is all over will you be on Strictly this year?? Please don't get partnered with Anton though as he never wins and I can see you going all the way to the glitterballGrin

SaturdayNext · 18/01/2019 07:34

Oh yes, you do need to give up the trouser suits with the short jackets, it's just not a good look on you.

DaphneDiligaf · 18/01/2019 07:51

I'm sorry but I haven't been able to take you seriously since you stayed sober at the Christmas party but still insisted on taking the lead on Dancing Queen.

TeenTimesTwo · 18/01/2019 07:59

Your problem is that the people who don't like your proposal can't even agree amongst themselves what they do want.

And the main person against you saying he won't talk unless the de facto default is removed is just ridiculous, as by not talking he is making that scenario even more likely.

To be honest though it's not surprising it has ended up like this. You weren't given a good team of people to help, compared with all the expertise available in Europe, and you had no negotiating power to start with anyway.

AngelinaNeurosurgeon · 18/01/2019 08:04

Are you sure this is a *board"? Are you 17? I thought your mate Dave said he was going to hold a party and when it didn't go the way he wanted (too many of the people he didn't want to come turned up and insisted on music he didn't like) that he pissed off and you and the rest of your mates said you'd clean up the next morning. But in the cold light of day all your old friends like Boris and Jacob decided they didn't want to be linked to the party either and then they all pissed off and left you to it. They're now telling everyone what a crap job you're doing and letting you take the full blame when your attempt to clean up their mess fails.
Really you were unreasonable to get involved in this event in the first place, and a bit naive to think all those boys from the local public school would help you out in clearing up the mess.

Juells · 18/01/2019 08:21

mummmy2017
Yes but the people you went to meet abroad have screwed you over, your not very good at making deals are you.

Damn' their eyes for knowing they hold all the cards.

But the blitz spirit will see you through.

MysteriesOfTheOrganism · 18/01/2019 08:21

And to be fair, the shareholders are split 50:50 on the direction to be taken...

Duchessgummybuns · 18/01/2019 08:36

Have you thought of dancing to deflect attention and buy you some time? A tap routine? Give em the old razzle dazzle

ChakiraChakra · 18/01/2019 14:50

Ooh! Ooh! I've got it! Fly a small aircraft ... a really tiny one over a major airport, create a diversion. Or object they the leader of the opposition called you a nasty name, that should distract everybody.
