To think Teresa May is probably privately pissed off she won?

The poor woman has aged so much in her time as PM.

Cameron presided over this mess and left her to pick up the pieces.

Wouldn't you just be so done with the braying idiots she has to put up with.

She looks like she needs a looonnnggg sleep.

OP posts:
Lonelyheart2020 · 17/01/2019 00:20

Ahh well she chose to tbh ... then chose her red lines and now couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery.
No sympathy for her but you are right she looks tired haha

( I also dislike Corbyn so not taking sides )

PavlovianLunge · 17/01/2019 00:26

I don’t know... she’s had indignity heaped upon indignity (all self-inflicted, no sympathy for her) so
I guess she’s still hoping to retrieve something of her utterly fucked reputation and not to go down in history as Worst Prime Minister Ever.

Yamayo · 17/01/2019 08:08

She knew she was going to win because of party politics.

Now she gets to play the 'let's unite and work together for the good of the country' card even though the whole mess was started because of party politics.

Last night's vote was a huge unifying boost for the Tories- I bet she's delighted Corbyn asked for it.

Kazzyhoward · 17/01/2019 08:14

not to go down in history as Worst Prime Minister Ever.

Pretty sure that Blair and Brown are neck and neck for that "honour"!

badlydrawnperson · 17/01/2019 08:16

Pretty sure that Blair and Brown are neck and neck for that "honour"!

Thatcher and Cameron are way ahead of those two, and Major not far behind.

OnwardsAndUpwards10 · 17/01/2019 08:26

I wonder how much bigger the bags under her eyes can get.

Dongdingdong · 17/01/2019 08:28

I doubt it OP, as really she could resign at any time if she wanted to.

SmellsLikeAdultSpirit · 17/01/2019 08:34

I am so fed up of the games they are all playing. She knew she would win. Corbyn knew he would lose yet we still waste time with it
TBF she is in an impossible place. Brexit is impossible to deliver. Promises were made that are impossible to keep

leeloo1 · 17/01/2019 08:35

It's lovely how a lot of this thread is focused on the poor woman's looks. No wonder there are few women in top leadership roles.

We finally have a second female prime minister, even if she's in power under insanely difficult times, trying to provide a deal that 48% off the (voting) population didn't want and that many of the other 52% were tricked into voting for. Plus the EU can never give us favourable terms as then other countries would want to leave. She is 100% in a no win situation.

But yes, let's focus on she needs better eye cream. If she looked spritely and well rested all the commentary would be "may should spend less time on her looks and more time working on a brexit deal".

MotherOfMinions · 17/01/2019 08:37

Cameron is without doubt the worst PM in history. For austerity and for calling the referendum.

DaphneDiligaf · 17/01/2019 08:40

Cameron is without doubt the worst PM in history. For austerity and for calling the referendum.

I agree with this but fear worse is to come and May will take that crown.

ChakiraChakra · 17/01/2019 08:42

I find all our PMs age visibly in their time in office.

I can't raise an iota of sympathy for her. She chose to take the impossible role on, and has time and time again chosen to fight to stay in it. She's been utterly lame in the role, and has sold the country's soul by having to bribe the DUP with money to prop her party up.

No sympathy for a few more grey hairs and looking like she needs a good night's sleep. She chose and contributed to choose this.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 17/01/2019 08:45

I agree, leeloo1.

I think she took the job knowing that it would be pretty much impossible and would win her no friends ... and probably expecting to be fired/resign on 30 March 2019!

Her job is to get Brexit through so that the next PM doesn’t get tarred with that brush.

ChakiraChakra · 17/01/2019 08:45

Her only "saving grace" is that I don't think Corbyn would achieve any better. I'm so angry that with such a shit government our opposition is also so weak. We'd be better off with Sturgeon ffs!

KidLorneRoll · 17/01/2019 08:47

She could just fucking resign, but the only issue is that there is literally nobody out of the list of alternatives who is any less of a useless prick.

MrsBrianWarner · 17/01/2019 08:50

She has no one to blame but herself for the almighty fuck up she has made of it. And she wanted the job, thought she could handle it, twas obvious it was a poisoned challis but she wouldn't wait.

She lacks balls in all senses of the word. At least its not Gove or that loathsome Leadsom i suppose.. or the other pratt

But yes, i imagine she wishes she were waking up today as a free woman

Maryjoyce · 17/01/2019 09:12

I do find rather bizarre that it’s repeated so many times that we were tricked into voting for brexit. I’m sure most like me have there own reasons they choose to vote to leave and I’m pretty sure lots never read anything at the time but just voted as they felt like we do in every over vote. I was not tricked as I voted to leave for my own reasons like those that voted to remain voted for there own reasons.
I doubt most even bothered to read the rubbish that was been hoisted about whether it was leave or remain.
However I do think there should really have been exactly laid out proposals that gave us more than just 2 options at the time though.
Like.
A box to stay
a box to leave without any kind of deal.
A box to leave only with a deal etc and other options
as it clearly should have been much more specific on what people wanted from the vote.
As it was obvious that Cameron and cronies never thought that we’d vote to leave they had no plans at all and it’s been left to be implemented by those that actually voted to stay which can never really give good results.

BorisBogtrotter · 17/01/2019 09:18

Blair and Brown will be judged rather as succesess.

Blair's achievements are at the moment over shadowed by the Iraq war.

Brown led the response to the world financial crash, and made a success of it.

Cameron achieved nothing.

May is a shambles.

Kazzyhoward · 17/01/2019 09:35

Don't forget, both Labour and Tory promised Brexit in the last GE. There was only the libdems who were wanting to cancel the referendum result and they got absolutely nowhere.

BorisBogtrotter · 17/01/2019 09:39

Brexit wasn't a prominent issue in the last GE strangely.

Labour wouldn't have had the Tory red lines and their version of Brexit would have been far softer.

Meangirls36 · 17/01/2019 16:48

I don't understand why she didn't just shoot the whole thing down. She is the pm. Screw the party just no vote we are staying don't be bloody ridiculous.

TeacupDrama · 17/01/2019 16:53

80% of MP's campaigned last time to deliver brexit in their manifesto all Tory all Labour and DUP etc so most of them lied as they voted it down

only the lib dems and SNP Plaid Cymru actually said they wanted to stay

WeeMadArthur · 17/01/2019 17:00

I agree @Yamayo, if Corbyn hadn’t asked for a vote of no confidence then everyone would be focussed on the massive defeat of the Brexit deal, now the Torres can all focus on the vote of confidence instead. What was Jeremy Corbyn thinking? Of course the Tories would rally around her for that, no one else wants either her job or a general election. It was a rookie move on his part. I think they are ALL a shower of idiots now.

DameSquashalot · 17/01/2019 17:02

Corbyn does a lot to f shouting about what a shambles everything is from his position of safety. He won't even join in with the talks. Unfortunately I voted for Labour in the last GE, so I can't say I would never vote for him.

Yamayo · 17/01/2019 17:04

Corbyn is more of a Brexiteer than May so he's not exactly going to contribute much to the debate.
Shame he refuses to listen to his own party and party members...
