Almost 24 weeks pregnant now and starting to show.

Returned to work today after a week or so of holiday.

Colleague that I don't really have a close relationship with says to me on first sight "hiya fatty".

AIBU? It didn't sit right with me at all.

They're obviously an arse but I wouldn't let it get to me.

SpudUDontLike · 16/01/2019 19:10

People think they're so funny.

I'm pregnant with twins and one colleague has referred to me "having a litter" at least three times. I hate it!

chxjw · 16/01/2019 19:10

@Thisonewilldo yeah, I just think it was so inappropriate especially in a meeting with other team members.. Confused

I don’t get why anyone would think that’s polite! I read in the paper that some old lady called Megan Markle a fat lady!! Like omg how rude!!!!!

Mummyoflittledragon · 16/01/2019 19:28

Jelly
And you just called a woman “some old lady”. This is pretty dismissive of her almost as though she were a non person. Wouldn’t an older woman or just woman be more polite?

JellyBears · 16/01/2019 19:32

@Mummyoflittledragon difference is I haven’t said it to her face! I have manners.

NurseFranklin · 16/01/2019 19:35

Goodness, what did you say back 'hiya cunt'?

chxjw · 16/01/2019 19:38

I think it's terrible inappropriate to make comments about anybody's weight, especially someone who's pregnant!

And @NurseFranklin, I wish I did Grin

To be fair they didn’t say it to a fat person/ clearly as you aren’t fat it’s meant as banter (just no particularly clever or funny banter)

WobbleBottomBum · 16/01/2019 19:42

Everyone there was thinking ' what a twatty thing to say'.

She made herself look bad.
