Should I apply for this job

Not really an aibu but posting for traffic.

I've been ttc for 2 years. Awaiting a laparoscopy and other procedures for suspected endo and a few other things. I have worked in my current job for 7 years, love the people I work with but can't stand my job anymore.
Anyway I have been pointed in the right direction of a job that ticks all the right boxes, more money, more of a varied role, more flexibility. Essentially it's perfect. Would I be wrong to apply for this job knowing there is the slight possibility I could fall pregnant. I've spent so long not taking opportunities 'just incase'. What would you do?

Do it. You might not be pregnant. You might be, but thus shouldn’t stop you applying. There is no commitment on either side st this stage.

I did what you are doing and stuck in a job I wasn't happy information years because this month would definitely be my month. Apply go for it I put my life on hold for 7 years and missed out on so much. .

Do it. You’ve been trying two years who says it’s not going to be another two. You can’t put your life on hold.

Would the new job give you maternity rights? What about the possibility of working part-time, family friendly policies?

Are you able to compare your current workplace with the new workplace?

Apply. You can'tput your life on hold.

@Fairyliz I have looked online and it doesn't give much info apart from advanced maternity, obviously I would guess that depends on length of service before maternity leave. I'm lucky in the respect that I still live with my parents and would continue to do so in the long term. So no pressure of paying a mortgage etc. Still have outgoings but not as much as they could be. My current role I work set hours, no chances or changing my hours or working from home, where as this job I'm thinking of applying for has the opportunity to work from home, some flexibility on hours but they will consider changes to hours in the future and the chance to acure time off in lieau so with a child would be better in the long term.
