You could gently lift her out. Pigeons don’t suffer stress from contact with humans they’re smart and adaptable. She should let you handle her no problem. I’ve removed one for my neighbour before ( ensconced in her porch 😂 ) and he was good as gold letting me pick him up and take him outside.

Get a cardboard box ready in case the bird is injured.

Find a small towel or a flannel, put it over the back of the pigeon to make it less easy for it to flap its wings, and hold it with your left hand over its back. Then use your right hand to release the feet. Move slowly and confidently (even if you don't feel confident).

Once you've got it released, give it a chance to fly away. If it doesn't want to, put it in your cardboard box and contact RSPCA .

I tried to help but it go frightened and hopped away into the neighbours drive. Then i tried to give it some seeds and a bit of water so it hopped away through the other neighbours drive and has now hidden from me. Poor bird- i could see blood on its wing so it can't even fly.

call your local wildlife sanctuary. Are your neighbours in? Could they help?

Hate to say it but Rspca probably won’t be interested in a pigeon .
They’re pretty shit these days

I left a msg at a charity rescue place but guess they are busy or understaffed.

If you're in Scotland, the SSPCA will talk to you and come out if needed. They have been fab with us whenever we've had to call them, including for pigeons.
