We have savoury-smelling under stairs cupboard that is geuinely stealing my sanity.
In October I got a damp surveyor in who couldn't find evidence of dry rot (phew!) but smelt gas. Gas engineer was called, found a leak and fixed it.
A month or so later we noticed a smell again and called the gas line, but they couldn't find a leak. Since I notice the smell intermittently. We want to sell soon and I'm dreading a structural survey finding something.
Next time I smell it strongly I'll call the gas line. Has anyone called them back to find they were right after all?
Or should I investigate elsewhere?
