To spend £300 on a hairdryer

Ive been wanting a Dyson hairdryer for a while as it's supposed to cut your hair drying time down by half and my hair is long and thick so takes about an hour to dry. All the reviews I've read are mixed so i don't really know what to do! Has anyone got/used one and is £300 a ridiculous amount to spend on a hairdryer!?

If your main concern is to dry your hair quicker then maybe try something like Cloud Nine's magical potion which is under £20 before spending hundreds on a hair dryer. I have extremely thick, wavy hair (the cloud nine one gives heat protection too) and this has seriously cut down the time it takes to dry my hair (maybe not by half but a good 30% I would say) Other companies do similar products which may be
cheaper. I was skeptical about it working but it really does.

I have a parlux compact and it's great it was about 100€ and dries very fast. I find it best to let my hair dry 75% naturally (if you have the time) and then hairdryer/straighten/style

I wasn’t impressed in John Lewis.
My GHD Air has never let me down

I love mine, it dries my hair quicker, is lighter and easier to use than my old hairdryer and my hair looks so much better. I don't even faff about with attachments and my hair dries straight, sleek and shiny. It looks much healthier.

Great suggestions thanks all! I will check out the other hairdryers as well! I was just given £300 as a gift but it was on my wish list for when I started my new job but still feel funny spending that much 🙈 I'll have a look, thanks all x

I tried the ghd first from John Lewis and returned it. Too heavy, attachments too stiff

I got it for Xmas. Def reduces frizz and looks more styled. I have very fine hair so doesn’t make any difference with drying time (dries in minutes). I like it and glad I have it but don’t know if I would have spent £300 on it myself.

@TammySwanson that is my main concern as my hairs naturally straight anyway so frizz wise it's fine but I just hate how long it takes to dry! This cloud 9 stuff looks great and has good reviews too I think I'll give this a try first. Thank you
