It’s driving me insane 😭 steroid cream works a bit but only the very strong stuff and I’m wary of using it as I’ve already used it longer than you’re supposed to. Ive not used it in ages now because I’m worried about the long term repercussions...

Please!! Does anyone know of any natural remedy or anything that soothes the flare ups other than steroid creams??? 😞😞😞

Another severe sufferer here (on methotrexate etc).

Agree with PP - you need to use steroid creams sufficiently to get things under control, and then moisturise all the time. in my case 5 times per day

I get through 500g of Isomol gel (on script) per week.

Body shop hemp hand cream, I've only just discovered this in my 40s after suffering all my life and its like a miracle cure.

This thread has been great.

For anyone who has cracked skin on finger joints, I was prescribed a brilliant product. I've been trying to find the box but can only find the product itself; it's like steroid sellotape. You stick a bit over the split skin and within a day or so it's healed - rather than re-splitting every time you flex the joint.

Suffered 22 years here with eczema all over body including hands. For me, eumovate works just as well if not better than some steroids I've been prescribed. I stay away from anything else on the shelf including aveeno and e45 etc, I react badly immediately.

Had a Google - it may be Haelan tape, though my reel is a different colour it looks the same otherwise.
