AIBU to ask if dh cuddles you and dc in public?

Or is this just seen as unmanly by him? Dh says that men who cuddle their wife’s/kiddies in public are the meanest in private. AIBU to ask if there is a truth in this?

Your DH is so wrong. My DH kisses and hugs our adult DS in public and private. He's always been demonstrative. If he didn't I'd think he was emotionally lacking.

He's wrong - my dh cuddles us in public (mostly DC) and is even lovelier in private.

Another vote for bollocks. Equally affectionate in public as in private to me and his son and wider family. We're huggy people.

Maybe he was just trying to express that people who are affectionate in public are not necessarily happy in private. I know people who put on a good show at a party but have confided that they are miserable at home. And actually yes thinking about it they are the most touchy feely ones in public.

Some people don’t like public affection. How he treats you in private is far far more important.

No.. that's a weird idea. DH is lovely and affectionate at home and out and about.
