AIBU if you had 600 words to write tonight...

Would you be screwed and find that number daunting? I am able to commit the entire evening/night to this essay but am getting anxious. Typically I like to give myself only 500 words a day to write but I fancied extending my Christmas break a little bit longer. I've written 400 today so far. Really kicking myself for not starting earlier!

Written a consultant report today - just over 2500

I’ve been known to pull an all nighter and write 3000 words. 600 shouldn’t take more than a few hours!

What I used to do was write everything I needed to in bullet points, then turn each paragraph in to a couple of sentences. I did this with all my essays through my masters which was 100% essay based and got a very respectable grade.

600 is easy peasy. I frequently pulled an all nighter and got out 2000-3000 words at Uni. I wouldn't advise it, but 600 is a doddle if you're doing the assignment in a proper planned and controlled manner rather than the last minute dash.

*each bullet point.

As you can tell my uni days are over!

I managed to write a 3000 word essay, complete with bibliography one night. I hated the subject, bashed the damn thing out in the uni library and submitted it once I'd had a sleep and a chance to proof read. Admittedly, it was one of the lowest grades I'd got whilst at uni (just scraped a 2:1 on that essay) but of course it's possible. 200 words is no more than three paragraphs. Should be really straight forward.

Possibly been said but if you’re a perfectionist the trick is to not self-edit as you go. Get everything down, neat/rough/whatever. You’ll have the 600 words in no time. Then go back and refine.
