When do you think the airports will get busy in March re Brexit?

I think quite a few people might go on hols for a couple of weeks to avoid any Brexit teething trouble.

I have flexibility with my diary and would like to do the same - just wondering when airports will start to get really busy? Any ideas?

It depends on what happens, if we crash out with no deal then I think the airports will be empty because of the huge risk of significant delays, effectively our passports expire as we will no longer be eu citizens (this is being legalised to extend our ability to travel on them now, but all countries need to also change their regulations to accept them).

If we have a brexit deal or a delay to brexit then it won't impact as we will know the scenario, and I suspect much will become apparent on the way it's heading over the next few days.

Personally I'd hold off booking anything to see which way it's heading. No deal is unlikely but it is still possible.

Do any actual non Russian trolls still spout that idiotic Millenium Bug line?

I hope you have a large stock of tinfoil.

Never.

But then a lot a of surprising things have happened in recent years, so maybe there will be some sort of mad scramble for a couple of weeks away at the point of actual Brexit. It would seem highly odd an illogical though.

A quick search will show I'm not a troll Hmm

Op, flights will keep flying, there is no issue, the issue is there will possibly be delays, possibly significant.

You'd expect it to busy around then anyhow, as schools are breaking up.

Normally people avoid holidays in peak times, unless they are tied in to the school calendar, just because of expense/crowding.

I'm going to be in Europe from 19-23 March and got a really good deal. I always have travel insurance as there are limits to EHIC. Just seemed important that I travelled to Europe just before the 29th March!
