Hi All, DH and I had a little too much fun and I thought I might be pregnant (we already have two bubbas).

Took a blue dye test and there was the most minuscule faint positive. I'm talking so faint DH claims he truly can't see it.

Took a pink dye test today and very clearly a BFN.

First off. Preparing yourself for an unexpected positive and then seeing a negative after all the mental preparation of a possible positive is just a mind fuck!

Second of all, wtf is with the two differing results?Confused I'm not approved to post photos on here yet otherwise I'd love to show you for your opinions :(

(Reposted now I can add photos!)

How your clearblue looks is how mine looked (currently next to 6 month old baby) so I think pregnant.

MsHopey · 12/01/2019 08:01

My BFP on a pink dip strip one was so light and faint my DH thought there was no line. We had to take a trip to Morrison's and pay the £10 for a clear blue digital, he still thought it would be negative. 17mo sitting next to us now.
The cheap pink ones are pretty good but some take a few extra days of testing to become really obvious.

ChristinaMarlowe · 12/01/2019 08:05

Re. Line eyes, I always think if you blur your vision (like relax your eyes iyswim) then it's clearer. I think I see a line on the pink dye too doing that. (I did then close each eye to check it wasn't double vision!😅)

Omzlas · 12/01/2019 08:21

I saw the second line on the blue test straight away

Brands differ on sensitivity and that could explain the negative test

Another vote for FRER

RZNW · 12/01/2019 10:46

No need for FRER. There's a clear answer right here :(

Stupid fucking blue dye playing my emotions like that Sad

@RZNW that image looks negative, i can only see the control line, no test line at all...

Lazypuppy · 12/01/2019 10:51

@RZNW sorry i read it that you really didn't want to be pregnant and now thought you were so were upset.

Whisky2014 · 12/01/2019 10:53

But that will be less sensitive than a frer won't it?

RZNW · 12/01/2019 10:55

@Lazypuppy Yep. It's a BFN.

It's just such an emotional rollercoaster because it would have been unplanned and unexpected but I needed to prepare myself for the possibility. The more I prepared myself, the more I wanted to see a positive.

DH isn't ready to actively try for baby #3 yet, this would've been a happy little accident, so he'll want to be more careful now x

Ok guys..I'm definitely getting BFN but today I actually feel pregnant if that's possible?! My belly is hard and I have what feels like spd which I suffered with badly in both pregnancies from early on.
Tested again and still BFN. I swear I'm having a phantom pregnancy 😂

It may be the picture but I see a faint line on that one to.

I'd take one at night

garethsouthgatesmrs · 16/01/2019 19:44

You could be. I got negatives with my latest pregnancy. Take another one in the morning.

Hannahcabanna · 16/01/2019 19:47

Close friend of mine has 2 young children.

Never at all has she tested positive for a home pregnancy test. She needed confirmation via bloods taken at the GP surgery.
