Conversation started out fine.
Then he moves to telling me that the reason he doesn't have looking for a longterm relationship on his profile is because there are gold-diggers. (I had told him that he couldn't offer what I want).
He then proceeds to send me photos of his three cars (2 Aston Martins, one Merc SUV) and two motorbikes.
I'm battling with UC, with really bad teeth.
WTF is this guy thinking?
Believe me, I love money and nice cars as much as the next golddigga, but what does he fucking want? Why pick on me!

I would reply enthusing about the cars (I m a car freak) and ask to see a good picture of him. Then I d reply "sorry you don't match up to your cars. You're not good looking enough for me. Goodbye ".

I was on OLD sites for about a week but have cancelled all of it for many reasons and now feel much better.

Anyway, there were quite a few photos of men with their cars and and in one or two cases other expensive thing they owned. Also men holding large fish they had caught. And one man said he wanted a “submissive” woman in his profile (to be fair most men did not say that).

Looking at all the profiles for over a week has really put me off the whole idea of possible ever dating actually (I am divorced after being married for a long time).

I do think it is strange that men think women will find these things attractive.

I am newly divorced and my friend advised me to do OLD. So I tried it for a week, but I would say it’s pretty awful.

Sleazy offers on Plenty of Fish. Little to no response on other sites (though that could be just me). Never sure if the likes and profiles are genuine or bots. Lots of unattractive men with the better looking ones probably going for younger women. No way of telling if there would be any chemistry with someone regardless of how attractive they are or not. A horrible feeling of being a disposable swipable photo - as indeed the men are of course. Sites gunning to make as much money from you as possible though they were good about refunding me. A horrible feeling of being viewed as a potential ONS (on POF). Undoubtedly lots of potential for cheats and liars to get their end away. Made me realise how much I miss the not horrible side of my ex, and how much I doubt I will ever meet anyone else or even want to. I was obsessed with it for a week, and tbh it was boring. Am so glad I am back to my normal self.

I thought you meant ulcerative colitis- I have crohns and I was going to sympathise, as meds can ruin your teeth 🙈.
I would just assume he’s lying about the cars and he’s a bit of a dickhead with no social skills, even if he wasn’t lying no reasonable person would use photos of cars to make themselves appear more attractive.
