I've been diagnosed with this condition. Had never heard of it before. Everything I read on Google is grim and making me panic awfully about the future.
Please, if anyone has any positive stories where they were diagnosed and just had one flare up, could you post them.
It would really really help me right now

Reflexology helps a lot.

I have a treatment once a month but will 'self-treat' in between by massaging my hands and feet then really concentrating on thumb and big toe nails. Hard as you dare, centre of nail cuticle to tip.

Sympathy though

Op, you asked Re the dental diagnosis, it was obvious as the day I returned from hospital ( long story but took too many pain killers due to the pain, had chest pain ( later diagnosed as inflamed gullet due to said excess painkillers) so was admitted to the Acute medical ward as they wanted to check it wasn’t my heart.

Anyway on my return my husband made me eat a bacon sandwich as I’d not touched food for days being so ill. My tooth immediately shattered on biting down so dentist said it was probably fractured but hanging on. The pain went more or less straightaway.

I will say though that I do get a funny stuff feeling on my face sometimes which feels like the start of what I had. That said, I wear a dentist made mouth guard in bed as I have Bruxism which has caused me to lose two teeth already.

Have had TN for years and mostly learned to live with it. You will have periods of remission, and just keep going back to the doctors until you have found something that works for you.
I found acupuncture helpful.
You'll be fine

Treatment really depends on the cause. I have heard that it’s caused by loss of Myelin / MS then eating foods high in cholesterol helps but don’t do this obviously if it’s caused by a blockage!
