To think there should be a (uk) CHILDRENS news feed?

I'm trying to set up my 9yr old daughters alarm clock. On my own I have the BBC news feed, a few minutes of the days low down so to speak. I have searched for ages now and cannot find an equivalent even in podcast form for children. There seems to me no childrens radio... or am I missing something?

BBC do a 5/6 mins newsround.

LittleOwl153 · 08/01/2019 11:20

@Jackshouse a kids one? When/which station is it on? I've been searching the BBC website with no luck...

It sounds like you have spotted a gap in the market regarding children’s newsfeed podcasts.

As a kid I always found Newsround’s reporting of events a lot more optimistic and less sensationalised than the normal news.

Yeah newsround is good - but only video no audio only. My Google home cant handle that! (Though I am not sure I can handle Google home either its driving me mad!)

BBC 4 radio extra has some childrens content

When I was a little boy, there was a thing called "The Children's Newspaper". My parents bought it for me once. It was excruciatingly boring.
Perhaps modern children should just listen/read adult news, and just get used to it.

OP, please do a short news podcast for Children. Such a good idea. What age are you aiming for?
