leaving 11months baby for the first time and DH. Just so I can see friends and enjoy myself!
When did you leave baby for the first time?

Oh fab, I love London!

Tiredmum100 · 07/01/2019 17:37

I went away when my dc 1 was 4 months old for 2 nights on a hen weekend. I loved it. I needed a break. I've done it plenty of times since leaving behind my two dc with my dh. I've been to Barcelona, London, the longest I went was for 5 nights on a hen to Palma. My dc were maybe 5&3 then. I am a mum first, but I also believe we're still entitled to a bit of fun.

PipGoesPop · 07/01/2019 17:39

Do it!

lamii · 07/01/2019 17:46

I am only going to have fun, treat myself to culture and museums. There is no obligation at all. There is nothing planned. That's why it is so hard to commit!

Maybe I should go for one night only and stay in a nice hotel. Instead of going two nights and crashing at a friend. Hmm

I'm torned between going to London and running around between museums and friends. OR going to Brighton (I land in Gatwick) and stay in a nice hotel, by myself to chill.
What do you guys think??

What do you enjoy more?
Would you prefer to sit around, gentle stroll on the beach front and generally relax.
Or go into a bit of hustle and bustle, maybe feel invigirated and young and exciting again and experience some museums and culture.

When i say young and exciting i don't mean offence, but we all know that generally young kids take up a lot of time and we can feel a bit down and boring when we see people living the high life Grin

RayRayBidet · 07/01/2019 18:34

YADNBU op, go and enjoy

@AnnaFiveTowns
Totally off topic but I love your user name. Are you an Arnold Bennett fan?
The only people I know who have read any are people I have told about them.

lamii · 07/01/2019 18:39

@Tiscold I like both! One day in London, one day in Brighton maybe?

CurlyMango · 07/01/2019 19:00

Definitely do it.
You will miss them but will be back so quickly.
Sets up standards for the furniture also.

Tiscold · 07/01/2019 19:01

Hmmm, i wouldn't really, you would feel to rushed in my opinion and wouldn't really be a good trip.

I would personally say stick to london if i was you, just walk around, have some nice meals out and do some grown up visits to art gallaries and museums.

lamii · 09/01/2019 10:55

I have booked my flight... WinkWine
