to not visit my SisIL?

SisIL has 3 kids age 9,7 & 1

We are quite close with her and reguarly visit. However, every single time we do visit we get nits and it costs a fortune getting rid of them as I have long, thick hair. We recently went to see her and stayed from boxing day for 3 days and came home with a ridiculous amount. We have spoken to her about this and she has the cheek to blame me and says I give them to her kids!
I honestly don't even wanna go anymore purely for the fact I don't want my hair or the kids hair riddled with them and she refuses to take any responsibility and sort her kids out. DH agrees with me too

Why is she lying about her children's nits? What's going on with that? Is she bonkers in other ways too?

I wouldn't visit. It's horrible having to get rid of nits (which is probably why she doesn't do it.)

We found the best treatment to be mayonnaise and cling film - smother the head with mayo and wrap in clingfilm. Leave on for two hours, comb thoroughly, wash with washing up liquid and rinse with white vinegar and shampoo.

Then comb regularly until nothing else comes out.

When the kids were in school it was relentless but once the youngest reached secondary they vanished.

I only use tea tree shampoo and tea tree conditioner on my kids as it helps to deter nits. TOUCH WOOD none of mine have had them in the whole time I’ve been using tea tree.
