To think that Jeremy Clarkson is doing a cracking job on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

Just that really. He is gloriously politically incorrect, and just tells it like it is.

I think he's great for the part.

He was 31 so not even born confused

I'm 31, I knew the answer.

Because life has got faster the reboot seems so slow even though it goes at the same speed as the original version. Might be me but I just lost patience with the faff and pauses not to mention the ad breaks. Clarkson is a bit superior (in personality not as a host) than Tarrant though. I wonder if Tarrant was asked to front and turned it down, or did the producers want someone new.

So what did everyone think of the last guy on Millionaire tonight? I thought he could have gone a lot higher.

Stompythedinosaur · 05/01/2019 22:35

God, I hate Jeremy Clarkson. He is a sexist tosspot.

AintNobodyHereButUsReindeer · 05/01/2019 22:39

Ahh he's brilliant! We're really enjoying watching it. But it does annoy me when people go "Ooh I'm positive I know this one." And then use up two lifelines only for them to have been correct the entire time Confused

ShatnersBassoon · 05/01/2019 22:41

I thought the student was going to win really big, but he did exactly what he criticised the contestant before him for - he was too cautious and used lifelines unnecessarily.

I've never liked Jeremy Clarkson before but I must admit, I'm really quite enjoying his presenting! It's quite refreshing for a quiz show.

I'm baffled by the contestants' knowledge, or lack thereof in many cases, because I applied for the show and the 20 question quiz required as part of the application was incredibly difficult! It was Chaser-level knowledge for about 10 out of the 20 questions and some of them were almost University Challenge-level! I actually think they must've chosen people who weren't particularly strong in their applications..

I don't like him but I that doesn't meAn I disagree with you.
Love him or loathe him. He is funny and has got character.
I though it was a bit stupid when that Saville said. Paraphrase here. "Oh it won't be him. His name is too basic.
You couldn't get a more basic name than Tom Jones or Michael Jackson.Confused

I'm enjoying it, and I think Clarkson is a good host. I don't find him annoying or overbearing, which surprises me! I wouldn't have known the octothorp question, nor remembered the colour of Google letters, as he did. Anyway, I liked that first woman that got £125k, also the dapper chap from Berwick who got £64k.
