Just that really. Does it work? Have ordered some for my elderly aunt who suffers badly with arthritis in her knees and hands. Nothing seems to be working at the moment.

lt worked for me. l took it when l was waiting for a hip replacement, and nothing the doctor gave me worked. l appreciate it won't work for everybody, but l think it's worth a try.

Mummyshark2019 · 03/01/2019 22:08

Yes, I agree. It is worth a shot. Nothing that has been prescribed has worked and he pain is horrendous.

I sell it

A number of customers use it for just that and I get good reports back

Tirednessandmoretiredness · 03/01/2019 22:16

Is it supposed to work for other types of arthritis? What is it?

gendercritter · 03/01/2019 22:17

My aunt uses turmeric pills and says they are helping. I think cbd oil could well help too. It's worth a shot

Crunchymum · 03/01/2019 22:19

What medication does your aunt take?

As in he medication prescribed by her rheumatologist?

RandomWok · 03/01/2019 22:24

My mum does. It has honestly changed her life. I ordered her some from cannasseurs uk. I gave them a ring and they recommended products.

Passmethecrisps · 03/01/2019 22:28

My dh bought some for his mum who suffers terribly from hip pain. She should have a replacement but her lungs couldn’t cope with the anaesthetic. According to MIL it was revolutionary. She had to fiddle with the strength as the one he bought her was effective in easing pain and helping her sleep but it made her nauseous. She now has a slightly less concentrated one which is effective but without the side effects.

She also found that there were different formulations - one was brown and a bit gritty she said. Another one was very pure looking. So in short nothing ventured nothing gained but it may be worth doing some research

arranbubonicplague · 03/01/2019 22:31

I know people who are taking part in clinical trials in other countries where it is legal but no, I haven't.

I'd be interested in any suitably-tested, standardised grade product with bearable side-effects.

Mummyshark2019 · 03/01/2019 23:43

Aunt takes a codeine based painkiller. For a whole year now. Does nothing really and think it has affected her general mood. Part of that is the pain but I think it is the meds too. Let's hope this works.

I have an inflammatory arthritis and it didn't work for me, but I know it has worked for others in the same position. As ever, it's down to the individual I think. Hope it works.

ArnoldBee · 04/01/2019 00:02

Hubby has tried some from Holland and Barrett but is still.in a lot of pain. What strengths are people using?

MrsSiba · 04/01/2019 00:11

@passmethecrisps sounds amazing for your MIL. How do you use it? Is it an oil you spray on? What about other medication.. Can it be taken with prescription meds? In wondering if its worth looking into for a relative.

HollaHolla · 04/01/2019 00:41

I have chronic nerve and joint pain. I’ve tried the CBD oil, and although it helped a bit with the joint pain, but not with the nerve pain. I didn’t feel it was worth continuing with for me, but might be worth a shot....

Passmethecrisps · 04/01/2019 09:55

I think she drops it on her tongue. I checked with dh last night and he reckons she stopped using it but I am not sure why. We are visiting right now so I might broach it. She certainly waxed lyrical about the sleep improvement. She was getting snatches of 30 minutes a time. When using he oil she was getting 5 hours

jogobella · 04/01/2019 09:59

I have psoriatic arthritis and it didn't work for me.

LordNibbler · 04/01/2019 10:02

I tried, but it tastes disgusting and I just couldn't stomach it. Even the smell in then end made me feel billious. The better quality stuff can be quite expensive, so perhaps buy from somewhere that will send out a sample. I honestly thought I had quite a strong stomach before I tried this.

Queenie8 · 04/01/2019 10:24

I'm really interested to hear people's experiences. I have rheumatoid arthritis and currently use biological injection every 28 days, plus top up anti-inflammatories, the injection is great and a massive improvement but after 20-21 the effects of the injection are worn off. I've asked for an increased dosage, or a shorter time frame for the injection but have been told its not licensed in the UK for either.

Mummyshark2019 · 04/01/2019 17:50

I have ordered the 5% oil. It is the strongest one Holland and Barrett do. Fingers crossed....I will let you know if there are any improvements.
