OP posts:

Woggle.

Anniegetyourgun · 01/01/2019 17:09

It attached ok the second time. The advert says it's a noodle. I assume they know what they're selling? So whether it can alternatively be called a woggle or not, at least you're safe enough calling it a noodle.

Never heard of 'em m'self, but then, when I used to go swimming the floats were made of cork. They were blooming heavy too.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 01/01/2019 17:09

I don't think I've ever called them anything tbh. Just showed DS and he says they had them at school swimming lessons and the instructors called them noodles.

X-post

SantasBassoon · 01/01/2019 17:12

It's a woogle or a noddle, depending on colour and length.

RaspberryRuffless · 01/01/2019 17:22

Noodle. I’ve never heard of them being called woggles!

ResistanceIsNecessary · 01/01/2019 17:23

That's a pool noodle - woggles are what the Scouts use!

MrTumblesSpottyHag · 01/01/2019 17:26

Woggle

DerelictWreck · 01/01/2019 17:27

They're pool noodles! What on earth is a woggle!

TidyDancer · 01/01/2019 17:27

Ah yes, the swimming pool floats are noodles. A woggle is a scout/brownie/etc neck tie, as previous posters have stated.

QueenofLouisiana · 01/01/2019 17:30

#teamwoggle

(Scout leader and swimming mum!)

Aaaahfuck · 01/01/2019 17:31

I'd call them pool noodles

LavaLampLover · 01/01/2019 17:32

NEITHER!

MyDcAreMarvel · 01/01/2019 17:32

Noodle never heard of them being called a woggle.

ArtisanPopcorn · 01/01/2019 17:34

Noodle. Agree that woggle is the neck tie thingy.

Stephisaur · 01/01/2019 17:47

I call them pool noodles

WhyDontYouComeOnOver · 01/01/2019 18:08

That's a pool noodle.

A woggle is something someone in Scouting OR Guiding, adults AND children, use on their neckers.

AlpacaPicnic · 01/01/2019 18:18

It's clearly a floaty.
You're all wrong, wrong I tell you!

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 01/01/2019 18:24

We first saw them on holiday in France and they were just being sold out of a basket with no label. They are therefore called saucissons swimmages in our house.

PurpleFlower1983 · 01/01/2019 18:30

Noodles

Gotstuckwiththisname · 01/01/2019 18:32

I call them pool noodles, but I have heard them called woggles. I'd know what you meant by either of them.

Yambabe · 01/01/2019 18:33

Always been woggles at my aquafit classes.

BlisteringHell · 01/01/2019 18:35

Noodles

MajesticWhine · 01/01/2019 18:37

Noodle for me

TiredSloth · 01/01/2019 18:41

Never heard the term woggle before. Pool Noodle all the way!
