Feathered tree bastard keeping me awake!

I'm only half joking when I say that this little bugger is driving me insane!

I have what I'm 99% sure is a robin roosting in the tree right outside my bedroom window. He tweets most of the day, seemingly has a rest as it gets dark, and then resumes with renewed vigour throughout the early hours of the morning every single night - he's just started back up a few minutes ago as I type this.

I live at the end of a short path, set back from the road in a quiet residential estate. There is a street light illuminating the path which is situated just past my house (literally 15 feet) and I'm pretty sure this light tricks him into thinking dawn is coming....all night long.

As I generally sleep with my window open it's pretty bloody loud to the extent that even earplugs don't fully block out his tweeting.

I generally love animals but I'm starting to entertain Elmer Fuddish thoughts about ending this little fucker.

I have a dear "feathered tree bastard" (I love that term) as a pet. He wakes me at half six at the latest every morning.

On the plus side, I needn't worry about oversleeping, as he has no snooze button.

Put some white noise on? I'm an open window sleeper too and that's how I block out noises. Relaxio is a good app. Just avoid the outdoorsy track with bird song in!

Feed him? Can't tweet with a beak full

Yes, do this, that'll shut him up. The robin in my garden loves mealworms. Get a huge tub and scatter them everywhere.
