To start a thread for those of us spending NY alone?

Bit gutted but trying to remain positive.

DS has gone to bed and DP has gone out, we are starting the New Year on an ongoing argument and a rocky relationship.

My first new year where I'll be on my own (apart from sleeping DS) at midnight.

Well that was anticlimactic! I feel asleep 🤦‍♀️ its a new year?

It is just a change to a new calendar. If you have a wall mounted one that is, these days!

I will admit to being a total cynic. How the heck can anyone know what a year will bring. Nice sentiments though. But it is all bollix in a day or two really.

I spent it alone. Nothing wrong with it. Watched a movie and the fireworks on TV. Had a couple beers. Off to bed now. Day off work tomorrow. Happy days! Happy new year to all

I fell asleep before midnight so definitely anti-climatic😂 and I've woke up with the attitude that things can only really get better from here so I'm in a more positive mood!!

DH got home around 11:20pm. We watched several episodes of Buffy, thank you MIL's Prime account. Broke out the whisky for midnight, several gin and grapefruits later we went to bed.
