AIBU to want to find regular boys' jeans?

DS will only wear regular jeans, no skinny fit. He needs a 26" waist, 28" length, but with pockets that will fit a 5" smartphone. Not child size pockets, his phone isn't smaller because he is! He is currently wearing Next, which have decent pockets, but are really too big on the waist.

Any recommendations?

Ds wears the river island slim fit and they aren’t tight on him as he is very slim. It does suck having to move up to adult prices but I don’t find he needs lots of clothes so I prefer him to have a couple of pairs of well fitted jeans that look nice than go for cheaper ones. I did nearly shed a tear at paying for adult sized Nike tracksuit bottoms though!!

All my DC had to have adult clothing/shoes from 12.........so annoying to have to pay the VAT. The last junior ranges they could wear were H&M boys (had a size 14+ years which was quite long and skinny, great for tops though quite fadhion so they may not do a regular jean. Also the Boden teen range (well proportioned and affordable in sale) plus Next 12-16 years - annoyingly only available to order so you can't try on in shops. Uniqlo are always mentioned on here as affordable, not one near me so not sure...have you tried?

Last resort but v.popular during the quick-growing, sprouting stage is Primark...their mens ranges start very small but maybe not regular/pockets...,worth a rummage.

The pocket/phone thing is frustrating. Even more of a nightmare for girls. Manufacturers, are you listening?

My DS is similar - he doesn't like skinny jeans & they don't really suit him. He's nearly 15 now so fits the H&M smaller men's ones. In previous years we've had most success with M & S / H & M boys/ Boden and Tesco.

Asos is good. You can set the filters to all different waist, length and fit. Also great to order a few as it's so easier to send back. Even free returns.
