How do I get rid of a muffin top
I'm 40 go gym twice a week eat reasonably healthy just cannot shift fat around my stomach and lower back and have that horrible overspill of fat in trousers that make all my clothes look crap.
Unless I wear baggy tops you can see the bumps as well.
I'm not big anywhere else just the middle has anyone got any insight into why the fat seems to stay there and has anyone got rid of a muffin top.
I've had it for years but probably got worse in the last couple of years.

Gym more, eat less. As long as you're healthy enough to do both, it really is that simple. The difficulty is all psychological. I should now, I'm usually fat.

Also wear different trousers - you need to admit you're a larger size (hopefully temporarily).

I tried a 14 but apart from the middle it looks to baggy everywhere else.
I'm a petite build just big round the middue.

You need to wear high waist trousers.
You can't target fat loss from a particular area, you have to just reduce your calories and the fat will eventually go as you lose weight.

I don't drink but often wondered if it could be a hormone problem.
I do try and limit my sugar intake could probably do better with that.
Is there any supplements you can buy to help with regulating hormones

Unfortunately eating “reasonably healthy” is not good enough for stubborn fat. I’m not trying to be mean—I know how frustratingly difficult it can be to shift weight from your middle and muffin tops. You need to be 100% in on healthy eating and regular exercise. Low carb/low sugar/high fat has worked best for me but of course everyone is different.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it? I’ve been going to the gym religiously for the last few MN tjs and working with a PT. Just had my measurements done. I’ve lost about half a stone of weight and lost inches. However, I’ve lost proportionally much more from elsewhere than my tummy. So I still have the bloody muffin top. PT says that’s just where I store fat and I would have to lose loads from everywhere to get rid of it. Even then I’d still be apple shaped Angry.

That was meant to say the last few months!
